The short version
This site sets nothing until you choose. Two small entries are stored in your browser so the site remembers your language and your cookie choice. Statistics run only if you allow them, and you can change your mind at any time from “Cookie settings” in the footer.
What is stored
| NAME | PURPOSE | TYPE | DURATION |
|---|---|---|---|
| vf_lang | Remembers whether you read the site in English or Greek | Strictly necessary · local storage | Until you clear your browser data |
| vf_consent | Records what you chose here, so we stop asking | Strictly necessary · local storage | Until you clear your browser data |
| _ga, _ga_* | Anonymous page statistics — which pages are opened and for how long | Analytics · only with your consent | Up to 14 months |
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and the fleet map draws its tiles from Esri. Both receive the IP address of your browser in order to deliver the files. Neither sets a cookie.
Changing your mind
Open “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page, switch analytics off or on, and save. You can also delete everything this site stored from your browser settings — after that the banner will ask again on your next visit.
For how the data behind these choices is handled, read the privacy policy.
